Senior Center

The Senior Center offers a variety of activities and classes for people over age 55. You do not need to be a member to be involved.  Please join us.  Check out our newsletter at Senior Center News 2017 June.pdf or check us out on Facebook.

Bingo
Join us Wednesdays for Bingo. Cards are available at 12:30; Bingo starts at 1 pm. Cash prizes and lots of fun.

Cards and Games
Including cribbage, smear, board games, and puzzles.

Computer Classes
WITC instructor Barbara Williams teaches beginning computer class.  You can sign up more than once for this class and the instruction will be more advanced as you go.  Classes meet fall through spring.

Tai Chi
Take a Tai Chi class at the center on Tuesdays at 10 am.  Sign up at WITC Continuing Education by calling 715-394-6677x 6367.

Crafts
Craft activities may include quilting, wreath making, jewelry making and more.

Exercise Class
Exercise class meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:30 am. 

Wii Bowling
No sign-up necessary.  Wii bowling starts at 12:30 on Fridays.  

Membership
Membership at the Senior Center gives you perks such as discounts on classes and hall rental, a quarterly newsletter and membership meeting. Call for more info.

Volunteer

We’re always in need of volunteers at the center.  Join us. 

  • Become a craft volunteer and help us organize our craft supplies and plan activities
  • Bring your skills in woodworking and help us start a class.
  • Help with commodities distribution.  Opportunities for packing boxes and carry out.
  • Memory Volunteer:  help sort and scrapbook pictures and news articles for the senior center.

Wisconsin Commodity Supplemental Food Program

Distribution: 3rd Tuesday each month 1:00-3:00pm 

 

Eligibility: Seniors 60 years of age or older and under 130% of Federal Income Poverty Guidelines. For a one person family the income limit is $1307 per month; for two people it's $1760. 

Pre-signup is encouraged.  Stop in at the Senior Center 8:00 am-4:30 pm Monday thru Friday.

Aging Mastery Program

The Aging Mastery Program aims to help baby boomers and older adults take key steps to improve their well being and add stability to their lives.

The program provides a comprehensive approach to aging well—focusing on key aspects of health, finance, relationships, personal growth, and community involvement.
